Jan 2, 2013 Fisher International launches a new column, “Consolidation Watch.”

South Norwalk, Connecticut, USA (January 2, 2013) - Fisher International launches a new column, “Consolidation Watch,” which will appear in Paper 360 and in syndication in Europe and South America. The column will be written by Jon Kerr, Fisher International Senior Consultant and an industry veteran.

“Conventional Watch” will test the prevailing wisdom that ownership in the pulp and paper industry is consolidating and that consolidation is necessary to the long-term health of the industry. Fisher believes that given what’s at stake, there should be more accurate information on how much and how fast consolidation really is progressing. Jon Kerr’s column will bring analytical discipline to the issue of consolidation in the pulp and paper industry.

For each issue, the column will profile a different grade of pulp or paper. Each profile will describe the amount of consolidation that actually exists in the grade and compare it to that of previous years.
